Legal Requirements for Oversize, Overweight and Superloads
Knowing how to deal with the legal considerations, permits and the technical challenges of pulling a heavy haul load is crucial to having a successful oversized load shipment.
Provinces & States require that certain oversize loads have certified Pilot/Escort Vehicle Operators (P/EVO) to protect the motoring public and the oversize load. The purpose of a P/EVO is to safely escort a super load from its beginning location to its final destination without damaging the load, motorists, highways, roads, bridges, control devices, signs, wires, overhanging objects or property.
Tubby's Transport will manage the transportation of your super load shipment from start to finish, including obtaining special permits for each province/state – and county permits as needed, pilot cars or other escort vehicles and any additional equipment required to move your heavy haul load in a safe manner.

Heavy Haul Truck Driver - Tofield, Alberta

Job Description As a Heavy Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the assembly, configuration, and disassembly of tractor trailers in preparation for various heavy hauling. You will have experience and be confident in the transportation of over- dimensional/over width/over height loads, ensuring that all loads are within the limits of the equipment and secured correctly.
Qualifications & Requirements (not limited to): ➢ Class 1A required ➢ Willingness and ability to haul across border through Canada and the continental US is an asset ➢ Experience working with and loading, unloading and hauling of heavy equipment ➢ Winch Truck experience is an asset ➢ Flexible schedule and be willing to work away from home for extended periods of time ➢ Must follow industry and company polices, safe work practices & procedures ➢ Team player and have the ability to take direction ➢ Must be willing to work outdoors in fluctuating climates (hot, cold, wet) and environmental conditions ➢ Be willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary We are seeking candidates who are punctual, have strong work ethic and want to work as part of a team.
